2022 OSHA Reporting Requirements

osha reporting requirements saginaw bay underwriters 2022

March 2, 2022, is the deadline for electronic reporting to OSHA.

Establishments with 250 or more employees who are currently required to keep OSHA records are also required to electronically report their OSHA Form 300A data for calendar year 2021.

This electronic reporting requirement must also be met by covered establishments with 20-249 employees if they are in specific industries with comparatively higher rates of occupational injuries and illnesses, such as construction, manufacturing and wholesale trade.

The complete list of these industries can be found here.

OSHA has provided a secure website for online reporting. This can be done via a web form, an uploaded CSV file or with an automated recordkeeping system.

Non-compliance with this electronic reporting requirement can, and has, resulted in fines and penalties. Fines and penalties can be assessed by both OSHA and MIOSHA.

The deadline for electronic reporting to OSHA is March 2, 2022.
